Silver Sol: “Nano” & “Tera”

Silver sol involves two important words that do not get used frequently in conversational speech.  These two words are “nano” and “tera.”  This page reminds us what we learned about these two words once upon a time in math class.

Here’s why these two words are important to silver sol:

  • Nano – This word is often used when describing how small the pieces of elemental silver silver are.   Silver sol contains particles that are “in the range of 0.05 to 0.1 nanometers” in size.  In other words, they are very VERY TINY.
  • Tera - This word is used in the description of the vibrational frequency of silver sol.   Specifically, tera-hertz is important to a discussion of silver sol because silver sol vibrates at a frequency of 890-910 tera-hertz, which is the same frequency as germicidal UV light.  In other words (remembering that one hertz (Hz) is defined as one cycle per second) 910 tera-hertz is many MANY cycles per second.
